Authenticate REST requests and map tiles with your API key.

Authentication

Each API product requires a key provisioned for that product.

For REST endpoints, include your API key in the request header:

X-API-Key: your_api_key

Base URL:https://developer.townshipcanada.com

For vector tiles, use https://maps.townshipcanada.com and pass the key as the api_key query parameter. The map integration examples show the complete URL for each product.

Store REST API keys in server-side environment variables. Never commit credentials. Use a separate key for each application so you can rotate or revoke access from your developer dashboard.
