Account Management - Subscriptions, Billing, and Settings

Create a Township Canada account, manage app and API subscriptions, update payment details, access invoices, and configure account settings.

Township Canada offers flexible subscription plans for individuals and teams. This guide covers account creation, subscription management, billing, and account settings.

Creating an account

Create a Township Canada account using your email address or by signing in with Google or Microsoft.

  1. Click Log in in the top-right corner of the page
  2. Enter your email and create a password, or choose Continue with Google or Continue with Microsoft
  3. Verify your email address to complete registration

New accounts start on the Starter plan with basic features. You can upgrade to Pro or Business at any time.

Subscription plans

Township Canada offers three subscription tiers:

Starter ($10/month)

Essential features for occasional use:

  • 100 searches per month
  • Street maps
  • Measurement tool
  • Turn-by-turn directions
  • 1 project, 20 quick saves
  • AI Assistant (30 messages/day)

Pro ($20/month)

Professional features for regular use:

  • Unlimited searches
  • HD satellite imagery
  • 10 optimized routes per month
  • 5 projects, 100 quick saves
  • PDF export
  • AI Assistant (200 messages/day)

Business ($40/month per user)

Full features for teams and organizations:

  • Everything in Pro
  • Unlimited batch conversion with CSV upload
  • Unlimited projects and quick saves
  • All export formats (PDF, CSV, KML, Shapefile, GeoJSON, DXF)
  • Team management with role-based access and SSO
  • Mobile app included
  • Priority support and SLA
  • AI Assistant (unlimited, priority response)

Managing your subscription

Access subscription settings from the Account page in the main navigation menu.

Viewing your current plan

The Account page displays your current plan, renewal date, and usage statistics including searches, batch conversions, exports, and route optimizations for the current billing period.

Upgrading your plan

  1. Go to Account in the main navigation
  2. Click on your current plan name (e.g., "Starter") in the Current Plan section
  3. Select your new plan and billing cycle (monthly or annual)
  4. Complete payment through Stripe

Annual billing saves two months compared to monthly billing.

Downgrading or canceling

Click Cancel Subscription to downgrade at the end of your current billing period. You retain access to premium features until your billing cycle ends.

To reactivate a canceled subscription, return to Account and select a new plan before the cancellation takes effect.

API subscriptions

Developers can subscribe to Township Canada APIs separately from the web app subscription. Access API management from the API link in the main navigation.

Available APIs

  • Search API ($20/month) - Convert legal land descriptions to coordinates
  • Autocomplete API ($20/month) - Smart suggestions for partial inputs
  • Batch API ($40/month) - Process up to 100 records per request
  • Maps API ($20/month) - Vector tiles for survey grids

Each API subscription includes a monthly request quota. The Build tier provides 1,000 requests, Scale provides 10,000, and Enterprise provides 100,000.

Billing and payments

Managing billing through Stripe

Click Manage Billing in the Billing & Payments section to open the Stripe customer portal where you can:

  • Update payment methods
  • View billing history and download invoices
  • Manage subscription details

Profile settings

Update your profile information from the Account page:

  1. Click Edit in the Profile section
  2. Update your name or email address
  3. Click Save to apply changes

Email address changes require verification of the new address.

Account security

Signing out

Click Sign Out in the Danger Zone section to sign out of your account on the current device.

Deleting your account

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data including saved locations, projects, and API keys will be permanently deleted.

To delete your account:

  1. Go to Account in the main navigation
  2. Scroll to the Danger Zone section
  3. Click Delete Account
  4. Confirm the deletion
